Personality type functions
byNucky Sun Jun 06, 2010 10:28 pm
Here's a site where you can test the strenghts of your personality type functions (Ti, Te, Ni, Ne, Si, Se, Fe, Fi, Fo, Fum, Ei, Ei, O, you get the idea.)
http://www.keys2cognition.com/explore.htm
Here are my results:
Cognitive ProcessLevel of Development (Preference, Skill and Frequency of Use)
introverted Feeling (Fi) ************************************************** * (51.7)
excellent use
extraverted Intuiting (Ne) ********************************* (33.8 )
good use
introverted Sensing (Si) ****************************** (30.1)

introverted Thinking (Ti) ***************************** (29.3)

extraverted Sensing (Se) *************************** (27.2)

introverted Intuiting (Ni) ************************** (26.4)
average use
extraverted Feeling (Fe) ********************* (21.4)
limited use
extraverted Thinking (Te) ******************** (20.1)
limited use
Summary Analysis of Profile
By focusing on the strongest configuration of cognitive processes, your pattern of responses most closely matches individuals of this type: INFP
Lead (Dominant) Process
Introverted Feeling (Fi): Staying true to who you really are. Paying close attention to your personal identity, values and beliefs. Checking with your conscience. Choosing behavior congruent with what is important to you.
Support (Auxilliary) Process
Extraverted Intuiting (Ne): Exploring the emerging patterns. Wondering about patterns of interaction across various situations. Checking what hypotheses and meanings fit best. Trusting what emerges as you shift a situation’s dynamics.
If these cognitive processes don't fit well then consider these types: ENFP, or ISFP

LOL, I am INFJ, quite clearly. The bias in the test comes because some questions are looking for Fi, but empathic reading can appear that way also sometimes. Note, my two types of N score the same; no surprise there. And my Ti is considerably stronger than my Te; as it would be for INFJ. My Fi/Fe scores were close enough that if I had made a slightly different stregnth on a question or 2, the scores would have reversed.
I wonder about the margin of error; that should be posted on the analysis.

The results seem accurate to me. When I originally took the MBTI years ago, I scored as an INxP, but apparently I no longer think.

Hmmm....edie is as clearly INFJ as I am. We all know how intuitive she is. I wonder if any other INFJs here will score INFJ on this test?

Did it to see how my Fe/Fi scores panned out... Limited use!
It's not uncommon for me to score higher with Fi on tests even though I'm definitely more of a Fe user, I think it comes out that way because I can answer quite idealistically as opposed to how I truly am. Idealistically I think it sounds good to have internal morals that are consistent and look inwardly towards my personal ethics when decision making, realistically they bend like the wind to fit in with the groups needs. For the same reason I often score high on Se despite being a crazy-unobservant!

By focusing on the strongest configuration of cognitive processes, your pattern of responses most closely matches individuals of this type: INTJ
Lead (Dominant) Process
Introverted Intuiting (Ni): Transforming with a meta-perspective. Withdrawing from the world and focusing your mind to receive an insight or realization. Checking if synergy results. Trying out a realization to transform things.
Support (Auxilliary) Process
Extraverted Thinking (Te): Measuring and constructing for progress. Making decisions objectively based on evidence and measures. Checking if things function properly. Applying a procedure to control events and complete goals.
If these cognitive processes don't fit well then consider these types: ENTJ, or ISTJ
If these results are different from what you know of yourself, you might consider why your developmental pattern does not align with your expectation. You might also consider exploring this result as a possible better fit.
I always fluctuate between the F and the T depending on what is going on in my life. Right now my T function is really prominent because of the job, I think.
I'm learning a lot right now as a "team leader". I've never been in a supervisory or management position before.

Hmmm...this test gave me a strong INFP type rather than my usual INTP. I did not find the questions very defining. I had to answer a strong yes to most of them. I know I am somewhere in the middle...I am a thinker but feel strongly, but this result says :
"Lead (Dominant) Process
Introverted Feeling (Fi): Staying true to who you really are. Paying close attention to your personal identity, values and beliefs. Checking with your conscience. Choosing behavior congruent with what is important to you."
This is an unusual result for me, not that it isn't possible...I am a conundrum with a very complex personality. My enneagram test couldn't decide what I was either, although 9 slightly wins out...

If you don't mind my saying, in posts you've made here you had a strong INFP vibe to me, not INTP.
T/F isn't about thinking or feeling, it's our decision making function, everyone thinks and feels.
If you're an Enneagram 9 then INFP would be even more likely.

That is possible, but I am a logical, technical, engineering oriented thinker as well. I seem to fit into both identities quite easily. LOL
I guess I could claim to be either, depending on whose tests we believe...the enneagram test couldn't make a clear choice either. and said so. You just can't fit the square peg in the round holes.

I know of other INFPs who are also very logical, technical and engineering oriented. The reads I get of you are actually INXP. You are definately yourself.

..........................
I went back and re-read my enneagram test...it couldn't make a choice either. "Most likely a type 9 (peakcemaker) but taking wings into account you seem to be a 5w4 (thinker, romantic ) or or 5w6 (skeptic) or 9w1 (reformer...doubt it).
It is not clear from these test results which Enneagram type and wing you are."
Just tried a different test ...5, then 9, then 4...thinker/peacemaker/artist or romantic...have to go for a big one and see if we can change it any.LOL. Yup...artist, helper, thinker, then peacemaker (4 highest then,2,5,9 )
So I have to analyse myself...and I choose Thinker, Romantic, peacemaker, helper. I can't help but thinking before leaping...however emotions will still make me leap LOL.
So, I will continue to claim I am INTP, although I know I am probably just as much INFP.
Edit: This is telling...i just did the Humanetrics test and it says:
Your Type is
INTP
Strength of the preferences %
Introverted/ Intuitive/ Thinking/ Perceiving
67/ 12/ 1/ 56
Not a very clear test, and I don't recommend it, but that 1% is interesting.

I'd keep in mind that these tests aren't very accurate and mostly reflect your own self-image; what you see above is simply how I view myself and not at all objective. I have no idea if I'm really very proficient with Fe, for example, and I doubt my assessment of how well I utilize Si (or Ti and Ne, for that matter) is accurate, either. I have strong personal convictions, as well, and so this may ping with the Introverted Feeling function… but my values are distinctly Ti/Fe (yes, Ti dominant types have strong value systems, just as Feeling functions process logic in their own way). I doubt I actually tap into my shadow and use Te much, if ever, either; I don't need Te to use measuring cups, nor to look at a clock or timer.
Functions are not skill sets, but other ways of processing information. You can accomplish several tasks with these modes of processing, albeit in different ways. The Te and Ni modes of processing information are almost entirely alien to me. Se and Fi are even further removed from how it is I understand the world.

Those are interesting results, Rivershine. It's strange they would recommend ESFP over ISFP when your Fi ranked highest and your Te has been ranked so low compared to your Ni. I think it's that your Fe scored you a bunch of Extravert points, but I think your Fe score was really a result of your Fi's tendency to be considerate. Try reading about both types and decide for yourself what's the best fit.

I was looking more into cognitive functions. I always need more time when others to be able to use notions, even if I understand. I need to let things sit, do lots of exercices on it, let things sit again, and it has been a hinder lately. If I can work on it, it'll be okay. But if it's part of how I work, or particular to my type, I need a way around...
I only really noticed this out of late because a teacher I had many years ago pointed it out to me...
